&lt;p>This recognition highlights Ignacio&amp;rsquo;s long-standing contributions to the bioimage analysis community, including his foundational role in &lt;strong>Fiji&lt;/strong> and his work on open-source computer vision and machine learning methods for biomedical imaging.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>The RMS announcement also recognizes his impact on training researchers in AI for bioimage analysis, and the broad adoption of the tools developed by our group.&lt;/p>
