CALM4GRAINS Subproject Officially Funded under the GRAINS Coordinated Project

We are pleased to share that the CALM4GRAINS subproject — Cross-domain Adaptation and Learning for Microscopy — has been officially funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU) under the Research Projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence 2025 (AIA 2025) call.

Led by the CVPD group at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), CALM4GRAINS is Subproject 2 of the coordinated GRAINS initiative (Green Responsible AI for Next-gen Sustainable Bio-Imaging). The project will develop cross-domain adaptation and learning methods for microscopy, with a focus on robust transferability, reusable representations, and computational efficiency.

The subproject, which runs from 2025 to 2028, has been awarded 328,500 EUR in funding.
