Ane Moraza is a Researcher in the Industry and Advanced Manufacturing department of Vicomtech, where she participates in applied research projects related to computer vision and industrial simulation. She received a BSc in Industrial Technology Engineering (2023) and an MSc in Industrial Engineering (2025), both from Tecnun - University of Navarra, which included an international Erasmus exchange at Linköping University (LIU) in Sweden. She is currently pursuing a PhD in collaboration with the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) under the supervision of Dr. Nagore Barrena and Dr. Xiao Lin.
Her research focuses on bridging the sim-to-real gap in industrial environments through the use of Differentiable Rendering and Deep Learning techniques. As part of her PhD, she is actively investigating automated optimization methods for 3D simulations, particularly for parameters such as geometry, camera poses, materials and lighting. Her work involves developing gradient-based optimization frameworks with the ultimate goal of improving the precision, reliability and automation of virtual environments in industrial applications.
